Food for the Heart: PAN International Launches 2026 Global Cardiovascular Health Campaign

On World Health Day 2026, we officially launched Food for the Heart, our new global campaign focused on the role of evidence-based nutrition in cardiovascular prevention, management and care.

The campaign shines a spotlight on one of the world’s biggest health challenges. Cardiovascular disease remains a leading cause of death and disability globally, and much of that burden is linked to modifiable risk factors, including dietary patterns and other lifestyle-related drivers.

With Food for the Heart, we are helping bring the conversation around nutrition and heart health more clearly into everyday healthcare practice.

Why Food for the Heart matters

The evidence is clear that nutrition can play an important role in supporting cardiovascular health, reducing risk, and strengthening prevention and care. Yet in many healthcare settings, nutrition is still not consistently integrated into routine clinical practice.

Food for the Heart responds to that gap by bringing together expert insight, practical guidance, and trusted perspectives to support a more nutrition-informed approach to cardiovascular care.

The campaign reflects our ongoing commitment to advancing evidence-based nutrition in healthcare and to helping healthcare professionals translate growing evidence into meaningful, real-world action.

Launched with a focus on implementation

The campaign kicked off with our first webinar in the series, Closing the Nutrition Implementation Gap in Cardiovascular Prevention & Care.

The session explored a central challenge in this space: while the science supporting nutrition in cardiovascular health continues to grow, implementation in routine practice often lags behind.

By opening the campaign with this discussion, we set the tone for the months ahead, focusing not only on why nutrition matters, but also on how it can be better integrated into prevention and care.

A global campaign throughout 2026

Running across 2026, Food for the Heart will continue to share expert-led content, campaign resources, and opportunities for engagement focused on cardiovascular health and nutrition.

Through the campaign, we aim to support greater awareness, stronger implementation, and a clearer understanding of nutrition as an essential part of comprehensive cardiovascular prevention and care.

As the campaign continues, we will share more insights, practical content, and expert perspectives to help move this important conversation forward. Follow PAN International on social media to stay connected with the Food for the Heart campaign and upcoming resources.

You can also join the conversation on PANCO, our global community platform for healthcare professionals, where you can connect with peers and explore cardiovascular health resources and discussions, alongside broader conversations on nutrition in healthcare.
